Pregnancy

One of Dr. Lannin’s favorite parts of her work is when her patients receive positive pregnancy tests. After getting to know you for many years, she and her staff are almost as excited as you are to learn a baby is on the way! In order to minimize the amount you’ll need to pay, Dr. Lannin does not perform ultrasounds or draw labs in her office. Instead, she and her staff will work to find facilities that are in your insurance network, so much of the cost is covered. She is able to access these records to review at each prenatal visit. She additionally provides pre-pregnancy planning and infertility evaluations if needed.

Delivery

Dr. Lannin strives to deliver each of her own patients, even scheduling her personal life around patient due dates. Her track record is excellent and she finds welcoming babies into the world extremely gratifying. Dr. Lannin has chosen to deliver patients at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Their facility offers attentiveness and comfort, and if a complication arises, they have one of the best Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in the United States. Postpartum

While many obstetricians only follow up after 6 weeks, Dr. Lannin likes to check in with patients for an additional visit. Vaginal deliveries are seen after 2 weeks and C-sections are seen after 1 week. At postpartum visits you can discuss any breastfeeding, bleeding, or pain concerns. She will perform an exam to make sure you are healing properly. This is also an important time to evaluate how you are feeling mentally. If Dr. Lannin has any concerns about your postpartum mental health her team will help refer you to an in-network provider for further evaluation and treatment.
